04/11/2001: SainT v0.99 is out !!!
Hi all ! We don't give up SainT !! Enjoy the v0.99 ! Get more info
here !
09/07/2001 : I have not given up on SainT!
I keep hearing romours that I have given up work on SainT. This is not true! It's just taking waay longer than I expected to get the GUI into a releasable state due to other commitments from both myself and Arnaud. There will be more releases eventually!
09/07/2001 : ADF Support!
I have recently been working on more accurate disk emulation for SainT. It can now run raw ADF disk images! This means protected disks and weird disk formats will now run! However, disk images have to be created on an Amiga. You can't have everything, I guess!
02/05/2001 : Development Continues
Well, I'm back from my travelling and development on SainT continues! The GUI is coming along well and hopefully there will be another release in a couple of weeks! Stay tuned...
17/04/2001 : Music Found!
Well, I'm still on holiday, in Goreme / Turkey to be exact, and I'm sad enough to update this page. Oh, well...Anyway, Tao has said he will do some new music for the SainT credits screen. Top stuff! :)
29/03/2001 : Music Wanted!
If there are any old ST musicians reading this, I'd like a new tune to add to the credits screen for SainT. Mad Max, Tao, Lap, Count Zero... is anyone out there?! Drop me an
email if you can help.
29/03/2001 : More Holidays
There will be no more news or updates until May, now, as I'm going to be off on holiday as of tomorrow until April the 27th! But the good news is that the new SainT GUI is coming along very well, looking and working far better than the original Windows version!
28/03/2001 : Mailing List Up
There is now a mailing list for SainT, check out how to register
here.
26/03/2001 : Back Again
Well, I'm back again. And I'm currently re-writing SainT with a custom GUI (windowed and fullscreen) and fixing all the bugs as I go along. It's looking very nice... ;)
15/03/2001 : Holiday Time
I'm off to Ireland to partake in the St. Patricks' Day drinking and generally have a look around Ireland next week, so there will be no updates for a while!
15/03/2001 : MegaFile Wanted
If anyone has an old ST hard drive they'd like to donate to me (a MegaFile 30/44/??), it would help with the SainT ACSI emulation. I'd also happily copy the contents of the HD to a CD for you to use on your PC (and SainT eventually! ;). Drop me an
email if you can help.
14/03/2001 : PaCidemo Updated
The
PaCidemo site has been updated with SainT compatability lists. Go there for all your ST demo needs! The
0.91b compatabilities should be available very soon.
13/03/2001 : A New Release!
I've actually found some time to fix the few bugs I needed to sort out before the next release, so here it is! There are quite a few compatibility fixes, but there are still a lot of annoying old "features" still there. Check the downloads page.
09/03/2001 : Web Awards
I've added an awards section, as I've just received a golden web award! Also, I've had little time to work on SainT recently due to work and other things, but there are only a few bugs to iron out before I do another release. Soon, I promise... ;)
01/03/2001 : I Have an STE Again!
Thanks to Markus Chilla I now have a working STE again! After a bit of hacking with the case and swapping over the PSU (it was a German STE) I now have a working test machine once more. Top stuff!
26/02/2001 : More Links
If you need to get some RAM for your STE check out the links page, there is a site doing a 4MB upgrade for under 13 with postage. Bargain! ;)
22/02/2001 : Chat Room Available
There is now a chat room available, as some people have requested. Go talk about SainT!
22/02/2001 : SainT Disk Tool
A new project has been started to accompany SainT -- the SainT disk tool! This will allow you to view .MSA, .DIM, .ST and .FDI / .HDI (SainT Floppy Disk Image and Hard Disk Image) files as Windows folders just like Zip Magic or CabView. Work on SainT will still continue, of course!
14/02/2001 : New Screenshot
There is a new screenshot of Turrican 2 in the screenshot section. More coming soon...
14/02/2001 : More Bug Fixes
The disk routines in SainT have been overhauled, and you'll all be pleased to hear they now work properly with multi-sector reads! (In lamens terms, more stuff works... :)
13/02/2001 : New Link and Other News
There is a new link to the Ripped Off crew in the links section. Also there has been quite a lot of work done on SainT over the last few days, including ZIP and DIM support for disk images and work on hard drive emulation, amoung many others.
08/02/2001 : New Screenshots
There are some new screenshots available courtesy ofKeops / Equinox. If you have some screenshots you think should be on this site,
mail them to me and I will add them.
06/02/2001 : FTP Space Needed!
I only have limited bandwidth on the server here, and I'm looking for some kind soul to supply me with a good chunk of FTP space on a fast server. Preferably a linux server so I can telnet to it also, but anything will do really! Any offers, drop me a
line...
06/02/2001 : Fiddling About
I've been hacking with the look of the site yet again, so if it looks weird just refresh the page. You can let me know what you think on the forum... :)
05/02/2001 : What do you Want on this Website?
This is your chance to tell me what you want to see on this website in the future (other than newer versions of SainT!). I have a few cool ideas up my sleeve, but I want your input! Go to the forums now and make yourself heard.
03/02/2001 : SainT News
Today has been a busy day! I've just finished debugging SainT, and you'll all be pleased to hear it now runs Elactra, the BIG Demo and the SO WATT demo correctly. There may be another release soon... keep watching!
03/02/2001 : Added Hardware Hacks Section
I've added a new "Hardware Hacks" section which has a few documents about making harware modifications to you ST. More soon.
03/02/2001 : Forums Now Online
The SainT forums are now online. To have a look click
here.
03/02/2001 : Online Editing Enabled
There should be more regular updates to this site now as I have just sorted out our online content management software for the SainT website. I can now edit the whole site online through a web browser. Cool, huh? ;)
03/02/2001 : The New Website is Taking Shape
With the recent release of SainT, I decided the website needed re-creating with a new cleaner look. Well, this is it!
