The main menu has a brilliant digi soundtrack by Mad Max and The Lost Boys called Bittner (I love it!). The Beat-Nick Screen by the Lost Boys is a go at Nick of TCB! It features stunning filled 3D vectors like the Cebit '90 demo only FASTER! The AK Screen is a joint venture between The Gigabyte Crew and The Exceptions (TEX) it starts with a groovy digitised intro and gets better and better, featuring tracking sprites, great music and a vectorball scroll along with fully adjustable vector balls! The TEX demos might be old but they had so much class, it's brilliant to know that they're coding demos again! The Chrome Screen by Unlimited Matrixx and The Replicants is a multi coloured screen you can distort all over the place and a landscape scroller in the bottom border! Megascroll II Remember the full screen scroller in the Cuddly Demo ? Well Unlimited Matrixx have done their own faster version! And it plays a 15Khz digi soundtrack as well!!!! The final screen is The Lost Boys 3D Circle Scroll a vector scroll that revolves, spins and twist all about the screen at a fair old speed! The Big Logo...... more Amiga ripps (The font the scroller uses is by The Vision (Amiga) in their Vision 4 demo, tracking sprites, bouncing logo and raster bars. The Giga Screen is an incredible overscan full screen with loads of sprites whizzing about and a 15khz Sound- tracker playing music. The Distort Screen brilliant hardware scrolling, colour cycling a distorting logo and the music hacked from the Cuddly demo reset screen! Full Scroller another overscan screen, just wait till you see all the colours and the parallax scrolling...... I bet you can't count how many levels of scrolling there are!!!!!! DOUBLE SIDED DISK. DEMO 265 3615 - ALF MEGA DEMO. The first intro features a Soundtracker music routine and tracking sprites, the main menu distorts and waves about. The Charon Demo.... a scroller with a difference!! it spins and moves all around the screen and it's so fast! Waxycolour... Some nice graphics, a barrel scroller, distorting logo and a scroller in french (But no music!). Berming-ham... Weird name for a demo screen (!) Another scroller with a difference...but again no music! Moduleback... Soundtracker music, 3 scrollers, V.U. meters and a logo that grows and shrinks in and out of the screen. Oaunlyfeice.... More great soundtracker music and some nice graphics, this is quit an original idea! Gation intro.... Another music less demo (aaarrgghh!) Rasterscroll.... This is probaly the best screen of the whole demo!!!! Great graphics, Soundtracker music and a scrolly (YEAH!!) Bouncing Bob.... Well these bobs don't bounce! they sort of scroll across the screen! Yo! all the way from Finland The Napalm Soldiers and their 3rd music disk, I recieved this from them the other day and it's wicked! It starts with a neat little intro and then onto the ripped Amiga music! The pieces of music are Piano, Music, Creative Human, Easypeasy, Bang Your Head On The Wall !!, IMF - Mission Impossible, Jugipiisi (???) and finally Heavy Metal. Most of the mods on this disk are originally by The Cryptoburners (Amiga) DOUBLE SIDED DISK. DEMO 272 J.M. JARRE - THE LAST RUMBA. This is a superb sampled sound demo of the classic German synth band. I can't remember the name of the piece of music, but it sure is good!!!! Apart from the Level 16 demo The Model, I don't know of any more Kraftwerk demos, it's a pity as their synth sounds should be easily done on machine like the ST. SINGLE SIDED DISK. DEMO 275 THE ULM NEW YEAR DEMO. This one starts with both the side and bottom borders removed and a great big ULM logo bouncing up and down. The first screen is just a ported Amiga picture of a clown and a scrolly message, the second screen is J.M. JARRE and the music is Zoolook, the third screen is the music screen with 10 pieces of music on the Function keys and scrolly messages in both the side borders and the lower one as well. The fourth screen is the greetings with a scrolly, distorting logo, 3 channel graphic equaliser and 2 pieces of music. DEMO 284 MURRAY AND ME. This demo by Israeli cartoonist Ya'akov Kirschen is an experiment in artificial personality. It's a sort of Little Computer People demo, where you are asked questions by Murray and have a choice of answers...... Murray reacts differently to the various answers!! SINGLE SIDED DISK - 1 MEG OF RAM. DEMO 285 YAZZ - THE ONLY WAY IS UP! More great sampling this time with Yazz, the quality of the sample is very good and a decent screen. The main menu is pretty good with multi coloured scrollers and a parallax starfield. The other screens are accessed with the FUNCTION keys. F1... The Earth demo, a digitised picture of the earth from space (6" across!) bounces allover the screen and over the borders. F2... Bouncing Balls, fullscreen scrolling with an Atari logo and bouncing sprites. F3... Xenon, Yep, parallax scrolling Xenon type gun emplacements that open to reveal Fuji symbols. F4... The bottom half of the screen is a parallax scrolling background with tracking sprites and a bouncing and spinning logo. F5... 512 colours on screen at once, hardware scrolling and a big sprite. F6... Digitised pictures ported from the Amiga, music and vu meters in the side borders. THIS DISK IS DOUBLE SIDED BUT WILL WORK ON A SINGLE SIDED DRIVE!!!! THIS DISK IS NOT STE COMPATIBLE. DEMO 300 PHALANX - THE OVERDRIVE DEMO. This has got to be one of the best demos of 1990!!!! It boots with a picture of the Workbench screen that you get if you boot an Amiga without a disk in the drive!! After a few seconds a guy rides a dinosaur onto the screen and blows it away! If you have a meg or more of memory you get a brilliant disk loader and de-packer between each sceen, sorry but half meg owners lose out on this (Now's the time to buy that RAM upgrade) The main menu takes a staggering 500k! And it's absolutely brilliant, most of the graphics have been pinched from Cybernoid II and you fly the ship around and through the doors to enter the demos, the screens are as follows..... THE BIGGIE SPRITE... The sprites are 64 x 62 pixels in size and there are six of them! 3 scrollines at once tracking sprites and hardware scrolling.. on the FM you get SYNC type scrolling and on the STE it uses the built in hardscroll. THE UGLY SCREEN... The Vector logo spins over and over whilst a Phalanx logo distorts with tracking sprites and a DNA scroller as well. Press N to continue THE DRAGON SCREEN... A fullscreen demo (Like the So Watt, Sync screen) With a dragon flying around while the landscape scrolls in all four directions and a sine scroller as well! DIST... The whole screen distorts as it flips over again and again, the speed is really impressive. OH NO!... Parallax starfield, vu meters, scroller, tracking sprites and a bouncing logo. DOTS IN SPACE... A great DNA scroller, distorting logo and lots of graphic effects made from tiny dots whizzing around. SNIRKEL... A very fast circle scroller, a load of balls and a Ghost logo all with some jazzy music. NIBBLEBENDER... The music for this one is a new version of Axel F, a parallax starfield, scroller and vectorball logo spinning about. SYNC - AUDIO SCULPTURE... A demo version of their Soundtracker, it only plays one piece of music, in stereo on the STE. Press N to continue THE OVERLANDERS... The top border has been taken out by a very fast starfield, Sinus dots fly around the middle of the screen making some great FX. The bottom border is replaced by a scroller and two Overlanders logos fly up and down the sides of the screen. FULLSCREEN... Like the TCB one in the Cuddly demo, 8 scrollines at once, some good music and a bouncing logo. THE TIMES... Starts with a page of newspaper declaring that Phalanx have beaten TCB, the goes on with a Megaball demo with moving background and a scroller. BITMAP MANIA... One of those joke screens where the scrolling is slow and jerky then it gets better and better as they add more FX SNURKEL... Another screen converted from the Amiga. A scroller that spins around and wobbles with it's own shadow! Change the waveform with cursor L/R and Insert/Clr-Home. MUSIC SCREEN...
