The prices shown include the cost of the disk, 1st class postage, protective packaging, and any dv}uplicating costs involved. All disks are for the Atari XL/XE. Please check disk density. Single density will work on anw}y drive, but double density will require a 1050 or equivalent. On double sided disks, the reverse side can be used by turnx}ing the disk over, and inserting it "upside down". This does in fact work with the XF551 drive(despite what I've said oy}n earlier issues of this list!!). NOTE: any disks using sampled music/sounds/speech, do not need any special hardware tz}o run. They run under software control. ALL DISKS ARE NOW JUST #1.50 EACH, OR #1.00 EACH IF YOU ORDER 5 OR MORE. DISKS{} MARKED WITH A "*" INDICATE THAT A PRINT-OUT OF THE MANUAL IS AVAILABLE AT #1 EXTRA. Prices to foreign countries are liste|}d at the end of this catalogue. --------------------------------- PD1 - long digital music demo}}s. This disk contains 4 edited sampled music demos. It is very simple, but allows you} to use the 19 digitized sounds supplied to be played using the keyboard or joystick, and also has a very simple editor } for creating runable BASIC code. The disk may be a good introduction to digitized sounds, but D.M.S is recommended for mo}re serious work. The commercial software Digi-Studio is the best of all! See later in this catalogue. Print-Filer is loaded before you load the graphics software/ j}word processor of your choice and will appear not to be there until you instruct your software to print. At that point j}Print-Filer will spring into action and offer you the choice of printing as usual, or re-routing the printer output to j}a disk file. The disk file will then contain all the necessary commands output by the print software to create the picturej} or the text document. The file will simply contain everything intended to go to the printer. By having this file, you j}can later print it without the need for the original print software being present. But that's not all! Print-Filer alsj}o comes with an editor, which will allow you to load in a combination of outputs from any number of print software packagej}s. These can then be combined into one file which can simply be printed from DOS! Imagine it, graphics and text togethej}r in one file which can simply be printed from DOS! Print-Filer is also a useful tool for word processor users who neej}d to have a fully formatted file which can be printed without the need for the original word processor. This is perfectj} for creating document files for disks and such like. Print-Filer will only work with print software which uses a maxij}mum of 48K. However, a special version has been included for Printshop users. Print-Filer comes with a very extensive j}on-disk manual which explains in detail how to use Print-Filer, along with hints and tips on how to get the most out ofj} the software. This manual comes in two formats: an Epson version which will only print on Epson compatible printers, and j}a standard text version for any printer. You will need any XL/XE machine with 64K RAM or above, any disk drive, and j} any printer. *Taskmaster* allows you to save your cassette software on disk as files selectable from an auto-run direj}ctory. Taskmaster includes commands for file handling, each with a help screen, and an integral monitor with direct assj}emble, dissassemble, edit, search, transfer and print options. If your program loads into memory from cassette without erj}ror, then Taskmaster will save that program to disk, in total, completely, as if it had loaded straight from tape. Somej} tape software contain non-standard "loaders", but Taskmaster is able to help find the "execute address" of the softwarj}e. This will allow you to convert almost all tapes. Taskmaster comes on a SS/SD disk, along with a printed manual. This mj}anual explains in detail the tape conversion process of Taskmaster. The Taskmaster software will run on any XL/XE machij}ne with 64K RAM or more. Taskmaster and Print-Filer are available direct from DGS, and cost just #4.95 each, inc.P&P.j} RAM or more. En}dit 7 has all the usual facilities that you would expect from a drawing program including line, circle, border, spray can,n} text, and so on.
