The menu options Namensgeheimnis reveils more about the personal lucky numbers. The vegetable oracle claims to read your personal character from your favourite food. You may be surprised. Kartenzauber shows a simple card trick, without the use of occult powers. A hocus pocus for everyone. 377.ATR RAC biorythm. Like some other programs on this subject this program is based on the theory that physical, emotional and mental highs and lows return in a cycle. Based on the date of birth, this program by the Rsselsheimer ATARI-Club computes your condition on any given day. This is presented in colorful 3D-bar graphics and percentages, either for one particular day, or for an entire week. There is no proof for the theory, but it can't hurt to pay attention to body, soul and mind. 378_A.ATR MD8-sound files. A bord game or two which requires luck and combination. On a 64-square game board you must deploy 24 sailing ships such that your opponents ships cannot mavoeuvre. The number of squares that you can advance is determined by chance, and the computer displays it with two dice. As in backgammon. a Pash gives you an advantage. Manual and game rules in English. 385.ATR Gizmo's castle. This program is also available on the Wrtemberger Disk (ABBUC Nr. 361). However this version can also be played on 64 Kb systems. It is a roleplaying game in 3D-format. Find the treasure, but do not get caught by monsters, and pay attention to traps. The game was written by Panther SOFT (martin Kugler). 386_1_A.ATR MD8-sound files 1. (128 Kb required). 388_A.ATR Fast solitaire/Canfield. Two cardgames, that are fun even if 388_B.ATR you play them all by yourself. Solitaire should be known to all Windows-users. Both programs were written in Turbo-BASIC. Solitaire has been compiled. The manual in English is on the disk. 389.ATR Hearts. Another cardgame in machine language. You play against three opponents, which are simulated by the computer. From a hand of 13 cards, three cards must be discarded. Eack player plays a card in turn. You must follow suit. If you can't, your heart is at risk. The English instructions are on the disk. 390.ATR Polish programs #1. These are shareware programs. PLease note the shareware notice on the disk in the README.DOC file. There are three excellent written Turbo-BASIC programs on the disk: Calendarium - a calendar program, that can be controlled by joystick. It shows the phases of the moon from 0 to 9999, the star-sign, and the day of the week. DZUNGLA - Strategy game for two with jungle-animals. Mastermind - The well-known game in a good implementation lets you play against the computer. The games are selected from a menu. 391.ATR The I/O Game You wake up in the middle of an Alien Base. This produced the most accurate time you'll ever get. The DCF-77 decodes the signal and sends it to the Atari bus. The driver interprets this, and gives you the correct time and date. This new driver enhances this, and includes a Temperature indicator, a Calendar, Shows the timezones and current time in those zones. The program works in Graphics 8, 80 columns, and mixes text and graphics. You can use Print Shop Icons and stand Atari Fonts with it. The package includes an ASCII Text Converter too. 401.ATR Video blitz. A graphics demo on occasion of the 1987 Atari fair in California. You can see a raytracing plane flying by unterneath you. There are 5.1/4 inch disks and sinus waves alternating in a chessboard design. A colorful Atari logo can be superimposed on the screen. Note that this demo only runs on an Atari with at least 128Kb memory. 402.ATR VTEX 1.2 Text View program. Load the ASCII text file you want to read, and use the cursor keys to scroll through the file. It is as easy as that. You don't need to remember difficult key combinations anymore to scroll through documents. Shareware. 403_A.ATR Picman: Picture maniac. This disk contains two programs: 403_B.ATR with Video Stretch you can stretch and shrink 62-sector pictures with paddles or an Atari touch tablet. The Picture Bender amongst other things lets you invert pictures, mirror them, roll them and foldl them. How this is done is explained by an English document which is on the disk. A couple of demo pictures are included. ED HALL has created this disk in 1993. 404.ATR TV-JAJI. A colorful Pong version for two players. There are a lot of extras and lots of options. Another nice little shareware game by THOMAS J. STARACE, with English manual on disk. Boot without option. 405_A.ATR The Bi Jets, Side A 405_B.ATR The Bi Jets, Side B Game for 2 players. Each player has a jet equipped with a lasercanon. Try to hit your opponent 15 times with it. Balloons, helicopter, missiles and other nasties are trying to get in the way. On this disk RUFUS (Hans-Peter Schulz) collected new fonts for the Print-Processor SPRINT XL. Amongst the 19 fonts you will also find Antique Roman (from Signum! well known from the Atari ST). The programmer RUFUS (Hans-Peter Schulz) presents a program for the merchant. It was written in Turbo-BASIC XL and amongst others it contains the following options: merchandise and raw material, unpaid bills, various price calculations, computing the margin of profit, profit and loss calculations, assets calculations and profitability calculations. An in depth German manual is included on the disk. 408_A.ATR Halle project 1994. Another first class graphics and sound 408_B.ATR demo. There are various animations, crazy scrollers and colorful pictures, but also first class pieces of music can be heard. Amongst others co-operation from CHIP SPECIAL SOFTWARE, the NONAME CREW, JACOMO LEOPARDI, members of WAF, MAGIC ARTS and ANALOG RESEARCH. The Halle project is the continuation of the Hobby-tronic-Tradition and thus it is a must for all demo-fans. 409.ATR Ski king II. A nice skiing game by RED for 1 to 4 players. Various slopes can be selected through the joystick. In the game you attempt to move the skier across a diagonally scrolling 3D-slope, while evading various obstacles. You can jump, accelerate and slow down. The included slope editor lets you create and save your own slopes by use of the easy to use icon-controls. A short English manual is included on the disk. 410_A.ATR Action! Magazine #3, Side A 410_B.ATR Action! Magazine #3, Side B Magazin produced by the Action! Working Group from ABBUC. This issue deals with a runtime system for Action!, now you don't need the cartridge itself to run Action! programs. Also in this issue, Rat's Revenge (a jump and run game), Pong (the classic), music subroutine, interrupt example program, and on 410_B.ATR the Kermit communications package with docs. 411_A.ATR Sweet illusions. A new and fascinating demo by the SHADOWS 411_B.ATR group from Poland. It also contains some digitized photos of the participants. Furthermoe raytracing landscapes, lightning fast vector graphics, extensive pieces of music and great sound effects are waiting to astonish you. There is a total of 11 different sections included. If you have a Speedy enhancement in your drive it should be turned off. The disk was written in double density, so you need a drive that is compatible with double density. 412.ATR Bitter Reality Demo from the Poland Slight group. It contains things like a flexible rectangle, moving balls, and a nice plasma effect. Turn Speedy off for this demo. 413.ATR Demologicus Demo from the Poland WaxSoft group. This program by Huskysoft from Poland enables you to search for fonts within files or boot disks and then it allows you to store them. Apart from the program, the disk contains 33 scanned fonts. 421.ATR Technoid Arkanoid clone. Boot this demo with OPTION. Up to 10 levels are fully playable. After removing all bricks, you must finish the level by hitting a brick with a giant "P" on it. If you succeed, a giant ball appears, which has to be touched with the paddle. When you do this, you advance to the next level. 422.ATR The Best of YFA Another demo disk from Poland. Contains good music and nice graphis. It shows off some pretty good developed games from Poland. 423.ATR XL-paint slideshow. The program displays pictures that were painted with Paint XL. Boot the disk with option. If you press the spacebar, all 17 pictures will be loaded one at a time. If you press D the drectory will be read. Then you can select a picture using the up-arrow and down-arrow keys, and load it by pressing RETURN. The picture quality of many pictures is a real surprise on the XL. By pressing the Atari key you can get an enlarged view, which can be scrolled in all directions using the arrow keys. You can change the colors by pressing the X and Y keys. 424_A.ATR Three double sided disks, chock-full of MD8 sound files. 424_B.ATR The sounds can be played with the FAMPY program. At the beginning you can set the available time. Beware! Every wrong move is will cost you a penalty of 20 seconds. When the puzzle is solved, you will get a code that you should write down, so that you do not have to start from the beginning next time. Joystick controlled. Additional options like sound selection and sound on/off, pause etc. are available. By the way, game play takes place in graphics 8 with 4 colors. 442_A.ATR Sample mix collection #1. The program can also be controlled with a touch-tablet. 474.ATR Super stud poker. The well known card game in a version by Walt Huber. You can select from three to five opponents (which are controleed by the computer). Game play can be selected from seven different game varieties and the Chicago rules. The cards are being displayed in windows technology. 475.ATR Atari tools. A disk with useful utilities, including copy programs, characterset finder, disassembler, autorun.sys generator and pack programs. There is a total of 21 programs on the disk. 476_A_A.ATR AMC Internal. AMC presents itself. On four disk sides you will 476_A_B.ATR find a lot of information about AMC. From the pricelist (with 476_B_A.ATR lots of close out items) to the good hardware offers the heart 476_B_B.ATR of the Atarian will always find something interesting. As an added bonus you will find the title pictures of AMC-programs. 477.ATR Mountains. This is a great mountain hiking game. After deciding whether you want to climb the Matterhorn, the Eiger north slope, or the Mount Everest, you have to pack your back pack properly with the right gear. In the game you should be as careful as in real life. Dangers like ruptures in glaciers lurk everywhere. A great shareware game by the Bit Byter Bernd Mller. For those 478_B.ATR that want to know, or the ones that want to improve on the perfect sound monitor (which was once the ABBUC yearly club gift), the complete source code. They were kindly made available by the developer, Bit Byter Jrgen Schildmann. 479.ATR The endless dream demo. A graphics/sound demo from Poland, from the Zelax group. Rumour has it that this will be their last demo on the Atari, since they now want to concern themselves with the Amiga. Anyway, the various effects are worth looking at. A must for every demo collector. 480_A.ATR Dream vision V1.0. Beware, system requirements include a 480_B.ATR disk with double density and a RAM-disk with at least 192 Kb. This is an universal IFF and ILBM viewer from Poland. The manual is unfortunately in Polish. The program recognizes compression automatically, and it is capable of decompressing the pictures. They are then presented on a virtual screen in grayscales in graphics 9. Using the cursor control keys or the joystick you can scroll the virtual screen in any direction. 5 beautiful example pictures are included on the disk. Loading pictures is made easy by using windows techniques. By the way, the pictures are displayed without flickering. 481.ATR INT-viewer 1.0. Beware, system requirements include a disk with double density. INT-viewer is a program for displaying pictures in Interlace-format. The pictures are displayed in grayscales, and if you view them from a distance they look real good (the flickering will be less noticeable). Several have a "real 3-D effect". The disk contains 11 pictures from various categories. The program contains an automatic loading routine, and when you hit the spacebar the next picture is loaded. 482.ATR Grass slide show. This slide show wins you over by its richness of colors. Where would it be from? Poland of course. Sound output during the show is available. Although the sound may not be to everyones liking. The 15 pictures included are mainly originating in the phantasy category. 483.ATR Voice of silence. A sound demo from Poland, by the TAQUART TEAM group. The 10 different pieces of sound can be selected from a menu. Hitting the spacebar aborts the sound. By jumping to the menu, the next piece of music can be selected. Not only for hardrock fans. 484 XFD-copy (for the PC). This version of XFD-Copy is intended for converting enhanced density diskettes into X-former disk files. Operating the program is similar to that of version 1, which was intended for double density disks. (Also included on the disk). Unfortunately with 26 sectors per track some problems show up on the 5.1/4" drive, i.e. read failures occur. This disk contains the following options: Blaster tester, a blaster demo, The bird man and The dark cave. Dark cave is game that can be played without using a screen. Locate 6 treasures using your ears. For this disk it is required that you own a stereo blaster by AMC-verlag. Otherwise only the blaster demo can be used. This disk was put together by Bit Byter Andreas Magenheimer. 488_A.ATR Atari ST fonts. This disk is in double density. Please turn off 488_B.ATR RAM-disk before loading. The disk contains colorful MIC-pictures with ST-fonts. A must for all demo coders. On the backside there are some GIF-pictures, that can only be viewed with a GIF viewer. This disk was also put together by Bit Byter Thimo Gr„f. 489.ATR Text converter. Who did not have the problem of printing texts from Atari disks that were formatted for 40 columns on the printer? Or even worse, 20 columns with a lot of returns at the end? This program by the Bit Byter Alexander Alers solves this problem splendidly. Returns are replaced by spaces. Word separators are also erased, if they are present. The Turbo-BASIC program is on the disk in compiled form and also in the uncompiled form. 490_A.ATR Gif pictures collection #1. This disk containing 17 GIF 490_B.ATR pictures was created by Bit Byter Thimo Gr„f. They were converted into a format that allows the traditional GIF display programs to load the pictures. 491.ATR Pad utilities #1. This disk is a real must for all owners of UNI-PAD, POWERPAD or MULTIPAD. After booting the disk a comprehensive menu appears. Various diagnostic programs for the aforementioned PADs from AMC-verlag can be selected. Some games that especially support PAD-control complete the disk. The disk was created by Bit Byter Andreas Magenheimer. 492.ATR Mr. Bacardi's slide show. After some digitized music in the title picture, various pictures in graphics 8 format are being shown in a self running slide show. The pictures show pictures of famous actors and movie scenes. 493.ATR Asskicker demo. The winning demo from this years contest Orneta 96 in Poland. The individual demo portions are really worth while seeing. Many effects you would not think our little computer would be capable of. We hope to be able to publish the runner up in the next magazine. 494.ATR Savage. The Polish group TIGHT strikes again, and has created a nice demo disk with good music. There are 9 differend pieces of music available for your choice. The sound output can be stopped by pressing the shift key. The ESC-key brings you to the selection menu, and you can select another piece of music. 495.ATR Think & work. A game written in assembler, similar to Sokoban. Even though it originates from 1988, the good graphics are impressive even today. The game has 24 levels. After you complete these, you can create new levels with the editor. The game includes a time bonus. For every level the high score can be saved. 496_A.ATR LAC intro II. This disk comes from Bit Byter Ladislav Libic 496_B.ATR from Slovakia. It has 9 separate portions, divided over two sides. A help text appears in Slovakian languange. You will find various scrollers, great pictures and good sound too. A must for all demo collectors. 497_A.ATR Wanted. Another super demo from Slovakia. Goldmaster, Marco 497_B.ATR and Globe have done their best. This two sided demo has eight different postions. Moving to the next portions is done by pressing the SHIFT key. Of special interest is a remarkable portion. It is a CD-player with functions. By joystick control you can select the pieces of music. Even skipping works here. 498.ATR Naturix. A game from the jump & run category. In well done graphics. Help a stranded astronaut find 5 boxes and a navigations tool, so that he can return home. 499.ATR Wheel of fortune. The Bit Byter J”rg Gernreich has made his version of the game (from the famous television show), written in assembler with ATMAS 2, available from the PD library. The program also contains a data editor that lets you create your own puzzles. The disk contains 190 puzzles You can store up to 255 puzzles per disk. The disk contains a text file with instructions, that you really should read before creating your own puzzles. 500.ATR The Atari spring 1996 fair demo. The demo from the 1996 fair in Schreiersgrn finally available from us. The demo disk great animations and good sound on both sides. A must for every demo collector. 501.ATR Entrance dragon. This disk originates from Poland again, and it contains a total of five parts, that are loaded by pressing the SHIFT key. There are some good new effects to be seen and good digitized sound to be heard. Programmers are DARTH and TACF. 502.ATR Sun slideshow. Beware, disk in double density. A fast running slide show from Poland. The 41 pictures in graphics 8 and 9 contain mainly from the comic and movie category. 503_A.ATR Journey. A demo on four sides from Poland by the group 503_B.ATR Polynomials. Winning demo from this years contest in Czestochowa. See also the reference in the demo corner part 7 in the text file. 504_A.ATR Biboassembler tool-disk #2. Matching Sondermagazin the 504_B.ATR second tooldisk for the Biboassembler. On two disk sides you will find complete assembler listing and routines, that you can use in your own assembly language programs of course. 505.ATR Atomit II. Great mind game against the clock. Bring together the atomic particles that belong together. With every one of the 30 levels, this becomes more of a challenge. Very well done graphics. The rights to this program that formerly was a commercial game from KE-soft were bought by the Bit Byter Andreas Magenheimer. He has now released this program into the PD. 506.ATR Turbo-DOS XL/XE V2.1. This formerly commercial available DOS from the house Reitershan was also made available by Andreas Magenheimer. You get a master disk, that enables you to create four special DOS versions. Whether you have a Speedy, a Happy or a XF, all combinations were considered. A bound manual can be ordered from the schematics service (Jost Kp) for DM 6,-- including local shipping. 507_A.ATR KE-soft level disk. This disk was also made available by 507_B.ATR Andreas Magenheimer. On the front you will find 10 new levels for the KE-game TOBOT and 35 more levels for CULTIVATION. The reverse contains 50 new levels for the game SOGON. 508_A.ATR Manga rules 1 & 2. A double sided disk with a slide show 508_B.ATR (256 colors) from various Japanese comics supported by sound. 509.ATR Line-up. A variation on Tetris in colorful graphics with good sound. The program was written in Chili with MAC/65. An intro in Spanish introduces the programmer to us. This game was found on a fileserver on the Internet. 510.ATR Rotten juice. A program from the Polish contest "Orneta 1996" from the group MEC. In the leader all members of the group are introduced. Then a mixture of great graphics follows. The demo is accompanied by sound of course. 511.ATR Theta music composer. A music composer from Poland by the author Marcin Lewandowski. A manual (unfortunately in Polish) can be selected from the starting menu. For all translators the source code is included on the disk. The disk also contains extensive documentation in Polish. 512_A.ATR Burger boy / Illuminator. Two arcade games from the good 512_B.ATR old days. In the Burger boy game you must try to prepare a hamburger. The individual ingredients are scattered over several floors. Of course things are not that easy, since a fried egg and a sausage try to prevent you from completing your task. (Lode runner send his regards). In Illuminator you are in fighter in space with you spaceship against an attacking fleet. Special feature: your spaceship can fire in all directions. The high score is recorded. Each level completed earns an extra life. 513.ATR Interpainter 1.1. A paint program for pictures in interlace format. The disk contains three example pictures. The program allows changing the color values of the 6 levels of brightness individually. The modified picture can be saved of course. The program can also load and show pictures in MIC, IGE, IGESUP and of course in its own format. 039_A.ATR Unriagh 1 update. Andreas Magenheimer has made over the 039_B.ATR adventure that was available from the PD-library under 039_C.ATR number 39. Bugs were solved. The update can be obtained 039_D.ATR for the cost of shipping by sending in the original disks. 514_A.ATR Pungoland level disk 1 and 2. For the commercial game from 514_B.ATR the house KE-soft here you have two double sided disks with 514_C.ATR a total of 100 new levels. If there are no other players, the Atari will control the other players. There are 15 different slopes to choose from. If these are not complicated enough, you can create your own with the supplied editor. 517.ATR Lord of darkness. A role playing game for all fans. After the great theme music you choose your role and the level. Then you must work your way through a labyrinth with the joystick. You are attacked by Orks, Sourcerers, Skeletons and other monsters. Apply your skills well and win the game. 518.ATR DOS 2.75. A worked over DOS 2.5, that not only detects memory expansions, but also can be configured to set up a RAM-disk when booted. The disk contains an extensive manual in German and utilities. 298_A.ATR Unriagh 2 update. Andreas Magenheimer has made over the 298_B.ATR adventure that was available from the PD-library under 298_C.ATR number 298. Bugs were solved. Caution, if you take the curves too fast, you will crash. A game not only for Schumi-fans. 522.ATR Snow plow. You are driving a truck with snow plow, and it is your job to clear the streets of the city. You have to fill up the gas tank regularly. You must take caution, since there are cars and obstacles that you must drive around. On top of this, a twister is near, that you should avoid. 523.ATR Labyrinth of death. After you have defined the size of the labyinth at startup of the game, you have to find the exit of the labyrinth of death. But first arm yourself with the proper weapons and tools. To survive, you have to find food. In the dead ends, you will also find treasures. 524.ATR Graphics terminal. This communications program by Ernie Hegus version 1.2R is especially suited for the support of the 850 interface module. It looks for the device-handler at startup, and initializes a connected modem. An English introduction is included, and several drivers for modems and handler devices are included. 525_A.ATR Igor demo. this double sided demo from the Polish contest 525_B.ATR ORNETA 97 surprises you right from the moment it boots. The opening screen fakes the desktop of an Amiga. The MADTEAM magicallyy creates stunning graphics on your screen. A must for all demo collectors. 526.ATR Extract slide show. Beware, disk in double density. A slide show of a special class. At the beginning the team members of RELPLAY / Bit Buster introduce themselves in a large scroll screen. The slide show itself must be loaded separately from a menu. Pictures mainly from the phantasy category are displayed with amazing fade in, fade out and fade over effect. 527.ATR Total daze demo. This graphics / sound demo from the Polish group TIGHT was also an entry in the ORNETA 97 contest. Totating effects and colorful Bigfonts await you. 528.ATR Trip 6. Of course the group SHADOWS wanted to be represented at ORNETA 97. Their demo involves plasma effects. A nice effect is created when a plasma bubble changes direction. 529 Pixlator / XL-viewer. Beware, only for PC's with Windows 95. The Bit Byter Micahel Probst has written these two great programs that allow Atari pictures in the PIC, PHO and BLD formats to be displayed or to be exported in the BMP format.
