Atari Jaguar Stuff
The World's First 64-bit Videogame Console

Jaguar with CD To the left you'll notice an Atari Jaguar 64-bit Multimedia System, complete with JagCD add-on and Memory Track cartridge. In spite of what Nintendo says now, the Jaguar was the world's first 64-bit game system way back in 1993. Too bad it didn't catch on.

Some people say it looks like a flying toilet, especially with the CD player on top. Myself, I think it looks like the Defiant from Deep Space Nine.

Alien Vs. Predator Alien Vs. Predator was one my early Jaguar game purchases. Built around a DOOM-like engine, it was compared to DOOM unfavorably when it first came out. Eventually, people realized that if you played it like DOOM, you'd never win. It's more a strategy game than an shoot-em-up.

What I like about it is that you can play as either the Predator (easiest), a Colonial Marine (middlin' hard), or an Alien (damned near impossible). I've not actually won any of the games without using the cheats.

What my girlfriend Samantha likes about the game is that she can turn on the cheats, play as the Alien, and chew through Marines like a deranged lawnmower.

Vid Grid The Vid Grid CD came with the JagCD add-on. Even though it's a pack-in, it's still a great game, kinda like solving a jigsaw puzzle, except that the puzzle is full-motion video.

Samantha really loves this one. The only problem is that after she's played it for several hours, she finds herself trying to unscramble her dreams that night!
