PAC-MAN:the most popular video game ever.

In the early 80's this was the game. No other video game has ever influenced popular culture like Pac-man. There were Pac-man T-shirts, hats, notebooks...you name it. It even had its own Saturday morning cartoon. I, myself, still have an old metal Pac-man garbage can from 1980. I'm sad to say, however, that my Pac-man backpack somehow got lost over the years.

Many quarters have been spent by everyone (yes, admit it) trying to avoid those ghosts and clear the boards. But when the patterns of the Ghosts were discovered by video game fanatics everywhere (along with the safe areas, shown above), Pac-man became less of a challenge. Then, came Ms.Pac-man...where the ghosts were programmed for randomness. This gave everyone the challenge they were looking for. It almost got the better of three guys from Montana who spent an entire summer in 1983 attempting to beat the game. Read their story for yourself. You have to admire these guys.
