Fight For Life

Type:3D Fighter
Players: 1 or 2
Characters: 8 (9 with code)
Procontroller: Yes

Rating:
Graphics:-8.5

I have to say, that from the screen shots and reviews, they sorta hyped up FFL a bit too much. I'm saying that the character's look nice (like Virtua Fighter with less polygons and more texture) and they move quite smoothly. Backgrounds are plain like Iron Soldier and everything doesn't seem to be put together very tightly.

Sound:-8

There are a lot of tracks. Each is short and high-tempo. Sounds effects are average. Punches and whatever sound normal but at least the voice is excellent.

Control:-7

Very sluggish here. My thumb has been through a lot with this game and I find my friends looking down at their hands after each match. Kinda slow but not unplayable.

Power:-7.5

Considering the Jag wasn't invented when 3D technology was around, it's easy to see that the Jag was unprepared and not very qualified for this type of genre. Some flickering and choppy spots, but still very good.

Fun Factor:-8.5

The control takes away from this. The different characters have fairly different moves to use and it's fun to watch during gameplay and replay. I'm glad that this 3D fighter was able to come to the Jag. 2-Player duel is long but fun.

Overall:-82%

"Great innovation, slick gameplay, and a nice effort. The BEST 3D fighter on the Jag!!!"
