Graphics-9 1/2
In virtual, the freedom of 3D movement is captivating. Free-flowing polygons fill the screen along with some very detailed explosions. Some texture mapping is used, and other things are shaded. The lens flair in the cloud level is awesome. Each level is punctuated with a monster boss (usually texture mapped)...and that sets this game apart from a lot of other games.
Sound/music-9
The firing of your lasers produces a familiar sound, but the explosions are very well done. The sound of the 3rd stage boss shooting a laserbeam downward on your cities with send chills down your spine. There are only like 4 tracks of music in the game though...too bad there weren't more.
Control-9 1/2
The control is soo close to being dead on. It's just a wee bit on the stiff side.
Power-9 1/2
I always love a game that allows excellent 3D movement like this one. The polygons are either nicely shaded, or texture mapped. The bosses really add an extra demension to this game....they add to the power category.
Fun factor-10
Some have called this the best game since Tempest 2000. Atari comes up with another blast from the past with this game. With the 3 modes of play, you can't go wrong.

Quotes:

"Missile Command 3D is the same as the original , but with really nice updated graphics, and a larger play area (a radar screen helps you immensely too). It's rad. You definately get a feeling of desperate panic after just a few levels."-Game Players

"Overall, this is one of the best shooters the Jaguar has to offer. If you've got a Jag, and you like the idea of fighting off wave after wave of enemy attacks, get this. It's that simple."-Game Players
