Race as the bus:

Hold 4 while you select your game mode until the race begins.

Mess with track and trackside details:

In Championship or Single race mode, hold "0" on the keypad while you select Free practice, Qualifying, or Race.

Functions:

1= +100
2= +10
3= +1
4= -100
5= -10
6= -1
7= see below
8= zero out quanity
9= see below

When you're don't messing with the numbers, hit option and select exit. Now select race and see what you've screwed up!

Let's say you are programming the scene. in the editable (pink) column you see three numbers:

23 34 45

Now, let's say you wish for the entire column (all the zillions of numbers) to be 23. (as in Michael Jordan's jersey number- da BULLS!) Turning each number into 23 by the other controller buttons can be tough. The seven button turns the number in the middle (the one that can be chanaged) into the same value as the top number:

23 23 45

Then, (while holding down seven), press and hold the down button. The numbers will go up and the middle and top numbers should stay 23. That means they are being constantly changed.

Nine does the opposite. It changes the middle number into the same value as the bottom number:

23 45 45

Pressing nine and the "up" button changes the number into the number originally at the bottom.

But, be forewarned! At the beginning and end of the list of numbers, there are a row of zeros not read by the system. (They appear at the top and the bottom- never in the middle.) Those zeros can be read, however, by the controller. It will think the zero is part of the list and change the middle number to zero as well. You'll need to change the middle number manually and skip the zero in order to continue with the seven and nine operation.

Tip:
zero-ed out quanities erase all track detail. You'll be left with a brown track....talk about framerate ;)
