A few weeks back I e-mailed Mr. Garvin at OMC asking him about how things are going and here was his response:
Well, things seem to be going well, but since I just returned to school
things have been going kinda slow especially since I'm trying to get my
magazine released by the middle of July. The games are still in the
works though, but I'm still trying to iron out some extremely rough edged
with the control and the overall screen layout. The other title has the
issue of the type of landscape and it's a toss up between 3-D evironment
or a pesudo-3-D landscape because it uses less memory and we are not
intending to do the game in C++, but in assembly to push more effects and
effeciently utilize memory while running at a high frame rate. But
overall I thing everything will be good. Just ask some questions and
I'll try to help.
Thanks.

Well, it's kind of an interesting situation. I can't say much because I don't want there to be more hype than needed, but to answer your question I'll admit that there is a project. We're trying to get togther or should I say there are 3 projects. As to what order, I cannot say. As to when, I cannot say either. It really depends on when JTS/Atari grants replies to my request for a 3rd party packet. But I will also say that I've got planned all original titles to be released only on CD-ROM and two are RPGs. That's about all I care to divulge at the moment. I can guarantee that all who like RPGs will like at least one of the titles, the others are more questionable as to the popularity due to the genre.
I hope that answers your question. Just answer one for me. Where did you chance upon that information in the first place?
Thanks.

I also sent a second e-mail regarding how they would go about publishing it and I also asked if I could put up this info, I will leave that part up, just for the sake of it pointing out that this still has hurdles before these games see the light of day which needs to be kept in mind. Here is the 2nd one:
That, in itself, is a good question. I'm thinking we'll do our own
producing, but only time will tell as well as the deals that get worked
out. As to printing the information, it's entirely up to you. With
that information already posted, I don't see it being any harm,
considering I cannot, in good conscious, print the material in my own
magazine which is non-biased. Just mention that everything is pending.
I want to get my games off the ground, but with everything in the game
biz, it's all a matter of timing and a little luck. I do not have any
more intentions of mentioning anything else until I have some concrete
information. But it would be interesting to see the reaction...
