Evolution: Dino Dudes - REVIEW
As one of the Jag's first games Dino Dudes may have given people false expectations of the things that the Jaguar is capable of.
The graphics are just average but the animation is at least nice and smooth. Digitized backdrops which scroll along with the foreground. Color use is not stunning but there isn't lack thereof. Musically the game excells. Lots of softer techno-ish tracks that bump along and keep your interest. Nice bass and overall good tunes.
Sound effects are a bit weak. There are sounds for most actions that you'll be doing but they're not tweaked to perfection.
The voicing used is a bit rough and raspy, but can be kinda cool to hear. The controls are responsive, but you'll have to play it a few times to learn the basics!
There are 80 levels of puzzle solving action, and your mind will be pushed to the outer limits to beat the clock in attempts to achieve your objective.
The mission types vary enough to keep you from fallin' asleep, and the challenge is definately in there to keep ya scratchin' your head.
Overall I enjoyed the game thoroughly. There are indeed some things that'll leave you wanting more, but this game is enjoyable, playable, has some nice tunes, and hey....the graphics aren't tooo bad.
