ATARI XL/XE COMPUTER

Hi there!

Welcome to my new ATARI 8Bit web-page, which is still under construction - so please be patient. My interest in the ATARI 8bit began in 1985, when I decided that simply playing games on my VCS2600 was too boring. Since I wanted to write my own programmes, I decided to buy a 600XL with 16KB - nothing else! (no 1050, no 1010 recoder - ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!). Hey, what would you have done as a young buy without much money ;-)?! Man, I don't think you can imagine how much time I wasted writing my own programmes, noting them down on a piece of paper, turn off the computer and type the whole thing in again the following day to continue my work! Fortunately someone had mercy with me and gave me some money so that I was able to buy a 1010 tape recorder and a 64KB memory upgrade for my 600XL. YES;-)! In 1986 I got my first 1050 disk drive. That was when I really started working with my ATARI 8Bit. In the following years I published many commercial programmes (like LDS FREEZER XL/XE, LDS "C:" EMULATOR etc.) and bought lots of other hardware. I also wrote basically dozens of articles for the German "ATARImagazin" which used to have more than 100.000 readers! Also, I took over the famous "COMPY SHOP MAGAZIN" (CSM) which had to be renamed to "USER-MAG". If you are interested, I might upload some of them. I also used to sell ATARI 8Bit software and hardware. Boy, I really enjoyed those years!!! I left the commercial ATARI 8Bit scene about two years ago but have never really dropped the ATARI 8bit. Thanks to people like Markus Gietzen, the author of XL-IT!, we are all still able to enjoy our XL/XE software. *SIGH* ! Sometimes I really wish I could turn back the clock. Anyway, check out my homepage and download some of the files if you want. If you want me to add a link to your site to my web page, please don't hesitate to e-mail me!

SeeYa!
