Some Information About My BBS

BBS the ATARI Inside is founded on 08-01-1996 and is one of the 3 Atari 8Bit Bulletin Board Systems running in the Netherlands, on a REAL ATARI 8bit computer. Other real 8bit BBS's are BECO-TEL (Amsterdam) and THUNDEROME (Sprang-Capelle). My board is running on a stock 800XL with 1 black box and 300 MB harddisk. My modem is a Dynalink 14k4 external one. We support the whole Atari 8bit scene, but even the ST. But the main task of the BBS is supporting the great ATARI 8bit computer.

Software: BBS Express Professional 5.0b
Network Node: X_476
Baudrates: 1200-14400 baud
Online: 21:00 - 06:00 (Greenwich Mean Time!)
Location: The NETHERLANDS
Phonenumber: +31 (0) 182-352755

We are joining a few great mail network systems. You are even able to read the comp.sys.atari.8bit newsgroup online. There are links to AMERICA, CANADA, GERMANY and ofcourse our internal net in the Netherlands.

Our idea is not to put the many files we can get online, but only the newest and most interesting files. It's not hard to fill your harddisk with software! We are searching on the internet all the time for the newest files. Files online are devided in different FILE_SIGS. You can think at: Communication Ware (have allways the newest ICE-t available online), DEMOS (following the development of new Polish Demos with open eyes) Games, Utils and on and on....

Then there is the ATARI 8bit Emulation NET! This great idea is especially interesting for those unlucky people, not having the great 8bit... or for those having it, but without any hardware hooked up. You can find at the ATARI INSIDE very recent versions of APE, SIO2PC, XLIT (in my point of view the BEST atari 8bit emulator ever written on PC!!) and XFORMER (for ST and for PC... PC one (version 3.6) is great either). The ATARI 8bit emulation net supports a special part of the mail network. In this part the last information is readable about APE, SIO2PC, XLIT etc...

... to be continued...
