Short description
The PC-interface is used to connected the DVM to the printer port of a PC. There is a new printer port at the PC-interface.
Because of this you can use both the PC-interface and a printer at the same time.
Addionally the PC-interface has eight free programmable outputs which depend on the voltage levels on the DVM.
If you don't use the printer port at same same time as the DVM, or you two printer ports on your PC, you can also use
the PC-adapter to connect the DVM to your PC. But the PC-adapter has no switching outputs.
To supply the DVM from the PC the keyboard is also connected to the adapter.
Because of the very low power consumption of the DVM this is absolutly uncritical.
In the following picture you can see the desribed differences between PC-adapter and PC-interface.
A detailed description of the DVM is also accessable with the similar labeled link on the left side.
It is useful to connect the DVM by an extension cable (9pole SUB-D) at the PC-interface, because the DVM is
otherwise located on the backside of your PC.
Price and accessory
The ready to use PC-interface costs 70DM.
A 2 meter 9pole extension cable SUB-D costs 10DM.
