The RS-232 Amplifierset is used to enlarge the range of the PC connector of the ISTEC PABX-systems 1003 and 1008. All
hardware versions of the systems are supported.
The maximum distance between PC and PABX is with the normal PC-connector below 15 meters.
If you want to install the PABX for example in the cellar or unter the roof, with the RS-232 amplifierset you have
an extended range up to 500 meters.
For this you must install the two parts of the amplifierset in the line between PABX and PC. Dependent of the distance
and the used type of the cable you need also one or two Plug-In powersupplies for the amplifiers.
Both amplifiers are placed directly at the PABX or PC to minimize the length of the normal RS-232 cable.
The amplifiers are constructed for mounting on the wall. To connect both amplifiers a 5 or 6 pole
telecommunication cable is necessary. Recommended is a twisted pair cable with a diameter of 0,8 millimeter.
For the connection to the PC and the ISTEC is a normal SUB-D 9-pole connector inculded in each amplifier.
SUB-D extensioncable and plugin-powersupplies are not included in the RS-232 amplifierset and must be ordered
seperatly.

The ready to use RS-232 amplifierset costs 80DM.
To supply the set a minimum of one powersupply is necessary. One piece costs 20DM.
A 2 meter SUB-D 9pole extension cable costs 10DM.
