Matrix was the sequel to Gridrunner, and a jolly fine blast it was too, featuring multiple different layouts and modes of attack, and lots of little camels that you got 106 points for, in honour of a radio station in San Francisco called KMEL 106, which had a flying camel as its logo. (In fact, in the US the game was released as Attack of the Mutant Camels, and a radio ad ran on that very station). KMEL still exists, but whereas it used to be a pretty laid-back rock station where you could often hear a bit of Floyd, now it has changed format and inclines to rap.
