If you continually kill›anything that moves, you will gain a›nasty reputation in the City. You will›be rewarded in kind. If you go too›long, you will not even be able to›enter Inns, and Taverns. Your›experience will go up but you will not›get the better weapons and things. For›example, my character was pretty bad›until about 1,000,000 exp. pts. He only›found Cursed Flameswords and Tower›shields. After 1,591,000 exp. he›finally found a Mag. Flamesword and›then soon after got the Mag. Tower›Shield. As far as finishing the game›goes, No, you can not finish it in the›City alone. The City was designed to›develop your character for the future›installments. I was told that you need›at least a level 10 character to›survive in the Dungeon (the next disk).›I have pretty much "retired" thorex›(level 14), until the Dungeon comes›out. AR was written for the Atari›on an Atari and was ported to the C-64.›The game is the same but the disk›access is very different. I have a›130XE and the disk access is much›faster and less frequent than it was›with my old 800. Also you might try›hitting the HELP key on the 130XE or›the 800XL and see what happens.
