Sullivan |››       ÏÎÌÉÎÅ ÈÅÌРÆÉÌÅ       ›› You are currently using GOE, a›new and exciting program from ›Total Control Systems! GOE, with›goDesk, gives you the power and ›ease of systems like the Atari ›ST(tm) without the price! ›› GOE has taken more than a year›to completely develop, and more ›than two years of my life. I am›proud to present it to you and ›can only hope that you will all ›enjoy it's features. ›› In order to provide you with ›GOE as quickly as possible, some›of my idea's and plans have been›reserved for a second release of›the GOE cartridge. Updates, of ›course, will be available to all›current (and future) owners. ››         ÓÔÁÒÔÉÎÇ ÏÕÔ         ›› When GOE boots, it enters the ›desktop (goDesk) and awaits your›command. The next few pages will›go over the desktop itself. ››     ÇÅÔÔÉÎÇ Á ÄÉÒÅÃÔÏÒÙ      ›› To open a directory window, ›move the mouse (using a Joystick›in port 2, a Mouse in port 1, or›the Cursor Keys) to the TOP icon›that looks like a floppy disk, ›it's default name is "DISK DRIVE›A" but that can be changed. ›› Once the mouse is over the TOP›icon, click it twice (use the ›CONTROL-RETURN key combonation ›for keyboard cicking). The disk›directory will then open. You ›may set the viewing mode and ›sorting method under the "VIEW" ›menu. ›› You may close the window by ›clicking on the close (*) button›in the top-left corner of the ›window. ›› VIEW BY ICON ›› When you click on View by Icon›GOE will place an arrow () char›by the name and set the disk ›directory to view by icons. In ›this mode, GOE will show the ›files using Icons or pictures of›what type each file is. ›› VIEW BY TEXT ›› When you click on View by Text›GOE will place the directory ›window into text mode. In this ›mode, GOE will display each of ›the files, there size and the ›time & date that they were cre- ›ated. If Atari DOS II is used, ›GOE will only display the name ›and size. ›› SORT BY NAME/TYPE ›› Sorting sets the method of ›sort used when the files are ›displayed. Sorting by Name will›sort the files alphabetically by›the name of the file. Sorting ›by Type will do the same, but ›using the extender. No Sort ›will remove the sorting algo- ›rithm to allow you to display ›each file in order as is it ›stored on the disk. ››      ÌÏÁÄÉÎÇ Á ÐÒÏÇÒÁÍ       ›› Move the mouse pointer to the ›file that you wish to load and ›cick the mouse button twice. If›the file is loadable it will ›load and run; otherwise it will ›ask you if you wish to print or ›view the file. ››       ÄÅÓË ÁÃÃÅÓÓÏÒÉÅÓ       ›› This DEMO GOE current holds 2 ›desk accessories, the Calcualtor›and Control Panel. ›› Desk Accessories are programs ›that can be used from within any›GOE program. ›› The Control Panel accessory ›will allow you to configure the ›desktop to your likings. It will›allow you to change the default ›color, mouse speed, keyboard ›speed, joystick speed, button ›flash rate, button delay speed, ›drop-down-menu color, system ›screen width (40/64 columns) and›the time & date. ›› The Calculator accessory will ›allow you to do math problems ›from within any program! ›› END OF FILE - MORE TO COME ›› Please also read GOE.DOC and ›ORDERS.DOC for further informat-›ion on GOE. The .DOC files are ›formatted for 40 columns and may›not look visually correct if ›viewed from the desktop. ›› NOW SEE GENIE.TXT››
