This is a new goodie from David Addison, author of the excellent ABasiC Monopoly game, and several other fine programs in ABasiC. He has now (rumor has it) been converted to using C. The story behind this (heard secondhand) is that Dave got the idea for STEmulator when he was at his local ST/Amiga dealer (who favored the ST), and found a couple of ST hackers there working on an "Amiga Emulator" for the 1040 that would show a WorkBench screen on booting, but would then GURU everytime you tried to do anything with it. Dave decided to beat them to the punch... To run this, you must copy it to the root directory of a disk named "STEmulator", or alternatively, you can just run it from here by first executing "assign STEmulator: AmigaLibDisk43:STEmulator". So far I have found no way to get out of it short of rebooting. There is probably an escape hatch somewhere though. -Fred
