How to modify MYIDE to run SOS2000. This is a very simple modifycation, no extra parts needed, but you have to cut one pin from a IC in your system! This little modification makes page $D7 RAM and may not by used by you. It is needed to make SOS2000 fully compatible with 400/800/XL/XE-software and hold vital information to run your system correctly. This modification will not effect your standard OS, it will run correctly with it. Then, of course, you may use page $D7 anyway you want....... XL-modification: Cut pin 10 of 74LS08 (three chips below the 74LS138) directly above the PCB and bend it up, so it lies on the chip. Connect this pin with MYIDE-74LS32pin3 Connect 74LS138pin7 with MYIDE-74LS04pin1 (CO61618 is one chip obove the 74LS138) Connect CO61618pin16 with MYIDE-74LS32pin1 Connect MYIDE-74LS04pin2 with MYIDE-74LS32pin2 XE-modification: Cut pin 4 of CO61991 (bottom left) directly above the PCB and bend it up, so it lies on the chip. Connect this pin with MYIDE-74LS32pin3 Connect 74LS138pin7 with MYIDE-74LS04pin1 (CO61618 is above left platic-distance-keyboard-tube) Connect CO61618pin16 with MYIDE-74LS32pin1 Connect MYIDE-74LS04pin2 with MYIDE-74LS32pin2 (Edited 01-09-2000 By Mr. Atari.
