First off, I haven't tried this as I have nothing that has a S-Video in/output. I see no reason why this won't work though but as always, your on your own.

This should work with a 65XE, 800XL, 130XE and 1200XL that you have applied the SuperVideo modifications to. This means that you will now be able to connect your Atari up to your large screen TV. Just what we need. Star Raiders with surround sound and mega bass. Why not. It's an easy mod and should be fun.

First you will need a S-Video cable. Radio Shack has the cables in 6 and 12 foot lengths, part numbers 15-1510 and 15-1503 for $14.00 and $18.00 each. You will need to cut a cable in half or cut off one end and replace it with a 5 pin DIN plug, part number 274-003 at $1.89.

You might find these cables somewhere already made but I don't know where. Let me know if you find one.

OK, to build this you will need to connect the center conductor of the mini coax from pin 3 of the S-Video connector to pin 1 of the 5 pin DIN plug and the center conductor of the mini coax from pin 4 of the S-Video connector to pin 5 of the 5 pin DIN plug. The shield of the mini coax connects to pin 2 of the 5 pin DIN plug.

As usual, check all connections. Now hook it all up and see if it works and let me know if it does.
