The Atari 1040STf Had a whole Megabyte of RAM. This was something very crazy in 1986. There was more RAM in the stock 1040STf than there was in the IBM PC or the Apple Macintosh, not only that, but for a price that was thousands or hundreds of dollars cheaper! A Spector GCR Cartridge Attachment would allow the ST to emulate a Apple Macintosh for a way cheaper price, and with some programs, faster too! This computer was a marvel and was very popular with world class musicians and with energy conserns! Atari was at the top of the computer world with this, with the Commordore Amiga right on its back. The ACD owns one of these and we use it all the time. (if only we could find a cheap hard drive...)
