I have tried to give yoE}u all the information needed to get your systemrunning, but since I am not an authorthere may be things left out. If youE} have any problems orquestions about this program or howto do the wiring please feel freeto contact me.XXX I can be contE}acted either by letteror by modem on GEnie. Here is my address: Kenneth W Payne J.r. 40 Stephanie LanE}e Poughkeepsie, N.y. 12603On GEnie my address is KWPAYNE Send me a mail gram or leave E}a message at the ATARI ROUNDTABLEXXX Well thhhhhhhhhhhhat's all folks. MAY YOUR HOME BE FREE OF UNWANTED E } VISITOR'S GOOD LUCKXXXD-************************************* SYSTEM TESTING Chapter #3*************************************I }The system should be tested at leastonce a month. There is no sense in running a seuritysystem if it does not work .The sI }ystem will not alert you to abroken wire so you should go to eachdoor or window one at a time and openit and make sure theI } proper zone goesinto alarm.XXXYou should also check the optionaloutput device ,bypass switch, resetswitch. and exit delI}ay switch. It won't take long and could protectyou for unwanted visitors.XXXHO************************************* WIRING THE ZONES Chapter #4**********************************M}***There are as many ways to wire this as there are people that own ATARI computers. I will give you two examples that M} should help you in setting up yourhome security system. The first way is simple and does notrequire too many parts and mM}ost handypeople will be able to do it withno problems. The second is a little harder butstill should be easy enough for mM}osthandy people to handle.XXX Since this program uses thejoystick ports, You will need to buytwo joystick extension cabM}les.I have provided the color code for the RADIO SHACK joystick extensioncable.Cables bought elsewhere may vary.If you dM}o use a differant cable you will have to check the wiringusing a ohm meter.XXX************************************* M} BASIC DIAGRAM*************************************The first diagram is a simple one thatuses the T.V. as the outpM}ut device.I only show one port because bothare wired the same. The difference isin the software. When plugged intoport onM}e you get zones 1 thru 4 anda reset. In port 2 you get zones5 thru 8 and a bypass switch. So, if you're going to hook up boM}thports make sure they are labeled andthat you put them in the proper portwhen you start the program.XXXZones 1 & 2 haveM} the two delaysassigned to them so these should bethe front or back doors. Zones 3 & 4are just normal zones. You can put asM}many doors or windows on each zone asyou want. So if you're not going touse the internal zones (5-8) youwon't need the byM}pass switch becauseit only works on zones 5-8.Then, youcan put the front door on zone onethe back door on zone two, and spM}litall the other doors and/or windowsbetween zones 4 & 5.XXXLet's use zone #1 as an example.Using the RADIO SHACK cable,M} thegreen wire is the one used forzone one and the gray wire is thereturn side for each zone.So you must run two wires toM} the front doorconnect one to the green wire and theother to the gray wire. As I said before the gray wire will be used foM }rall the zones so you will have a lotof wires connected to the gray wire.XXXThe device that you wire up at the door or wM!}indow must have its contactsopen when the door or window is closedso when the door opens the alarm willgo off.If you are M"}going to wire more thanone door or window to each zone you can do it in two ways;1) By running a 2nd set of wires to thM#}e other door using the same set as the first.2) By running two wires from the first door to the 2nd door.Either way M$}will do the job.XXX************************************* BASIC + DIAGRAM*************************************ThM%}e only differance with this setupis that I have added the output deviceand the exit delay switch. The exit delay switch is M&}the easypart. Just put a switch in place ofa door or window for zone #3 onlyand make the proper changes using theoption M'}menu.XXXThe output device is also pretty easy. All you have to do is run wiresfrom the orange wire to the negative(-) sM(}ide of the sona alert and onefrom the gray wire to the positive(+) side of the sona alert. This can be done on either or boM)}thports it will work either way.So if you want you can have twosona alerts wired up.XXX In order to try and keep the coM*}st ofthis program down, I have providedall the wiring and diagrams on thedisk itself.I realize that it may be hard forsoM+}me of you to figure out what I'vesaid or how to do it.If this is so, please send me a self-addressed stamped envolpe With M,}a notesaying you want the hard copy of the diagrams and I will send you those diagrams and wiring instructions. My name anM-}d address is listed in thesummary chapter.XXXL0YmERRETRTIM""****************************""Q/}*** HOME SECURITY SYSTEM ***""*** TITLE.PIC ***""*** BY KEN PAYNE ***""**********************Q0}****** (}AR@'AU'A"AU A 'AR@'A@Q1} +@4 Q0@@70@@@Q0@&-@@&(@Q2}the0-@@0(@ home security)-@@)(@system( ( ((((((Q3}( BY"( Ken Payne,Jr"(++("Ԡ(-@A Q4} 21( ( (((1( Ǡ͠3%D1:SECURITY.BAS""** ERROR HANDLING ROUTINE **6-F:AQ5},6-@ +(} A/( (/(͠Ҡ# RETRY # "A8 A "AQ6}p A0*( (*( PLEASE CHECK OUT THE SYSTEM A@2( ((( PLEASE CHECK ˠŠ2 A@*(Q7} (*( FILE NOT FOUND ˠˠ5(+( LOOKING FOR FILE ٮӠ5 A@'6-%@"@' AQ8}9@'@9@ EE6-P:+F:@,$BU6%F:@,$AV%F:@ ,,'@`Q9},"@ AP AB=-@/( WILL RETRY LOADING =6-&@&&(SECURITY PROGRQ:}AM IN SEC."
