2.1.  A freezing and on thaw from programs after pressing the red 
button the program with the next interrupt interrupts is frozen, and 
the Freezer takes over control of the Atari. of the Freezer main menue
can then all further functions be called.  Thawing the frozen program 
out is by manipulation of the space bar possible the program keeps 
running then to exactly the same steep one, at which it was frozen.  
To the shop of a frozen program this is thawed out automatically.  
Pressing the RESETS key in the Freezer main menue causes a cold 
weather starting and switches the Freezer off in regulated way again.
  

In principle each program in any place can be frozen, thus also during
a disk or a cartridge operation.  To recommend is not that, since this
operation remains incomplete then.  After thawing the program out the 
possibility exists to repeat the diskette operation, this is however 
not safe for the OS!  The repetition of a cartridge operation is the 
OS not at all the Caesettenlaufwerk in addition too possible there is 
" stupid ".  Therefore it is better.  Programs only to freeze if 
straight no operations with the periphery take place.  

The program can occur thus ungeruehrt keeps running in extremely rare 
individual cases that after pressing the red button nothing happens.  
The secret behind it:  this program uses no interrupts!  Is possible 
naturally only with quite simple programs e.g. converted Apple 
programs, which do not use the abilities of the Ataris practically.  
And to freeze one can do it nevertheless, by releasing SYSTEM a RESET 
(in addition one needs however a Atari with inserted SYSTEMS RESET key
to point 1,.1.)  which knows hereby connected interrupts in no case is
suppressed, so that there is no counter measure against the TURBO- 
FREEZER XL.  

2.2.  Store from frozen programs with the functions " S " and " R " 
can frozen Progrramme on external mass storages such as cartridge or 
disk (" S ") or into the RAM disk (" R ") to be away-stored.  

With " S " by means of a submenu in demand whether storage on 
cartridge is to take place as boat or as file.  Before this input the 
necessary operational funds should be made available (cartridge 
and/or.  Disk inserted).  In the case of a ' *Files " with a further 
menu the file name is inquired.  The input can be edited as usual.  If
instead of a file name " RETURN " is only pressed uses the Freezer the
file name " CORE " (stands for " memory dump ").  Characteristic:  if 
a file already existing to be overwritten is to know also Wildcards to
be entered.  It is normally if the menu during the output operations 
is now and then switched off.  Around the operations on greatest 
possible speed to breed in purchase taken that the picture when 
restarting " to hop " can.  Thus e.g. storing lasts into the RAM disk 
only half so long, which justifies the careless method.
