Edit++ changed its name to EditPlus on Monday, April 13, 1998.

What is EditPlus
----------------

EditPlus is Internet-ready 32-bit text editor for Windows 95/98 and 
Windows NT 4.0 or higher.  It is not only a good replacement for 
Notepad, but it has also much more powerful features for web-page 
authors and programmers.

What's New
----------

This version is feature-improvement and bug-fix release.

- Perl support added.
- Document Template feature added.
- Syntax highlighting improvements and bug-fixes.
- Regular expression bug fixed.
- Syntax highlighting color-button bug fixed.
- Scanning Cliptext library bug fixed.
- Use document's font in input-box of find dialog.
- Output window improvements and bug-fixes.
- Dragging file to Shortcut bug fixed.
- Other minor bug-fixes and improvements

<NOTE>
This version modifies some registry settings. In some cases, after 
setup, you will find some duplicated entries in File-Settings, 
File-Syntax and File-Filters in Preferences dialog box. 
You may delete those redundant duplications.

System Requirement
------------------

Windows 95/98, Windows NT 4.0 or higher
2MB free disk space
IE 3 or higher for seamless browser feature (optional)

Install
-------

Extract EditPlus archive file (EPPxx.ZIP) to temporary directory using 
PKUNZIP 2.04g or compatible program (such as Winzip), then execute 
SETUP.EXE.

Remove
------

Execute 'Uninstall EditPlus' in the EditPlus 1.0 Start Menu folder or 
open 'Add/Remove Programs' in Control Panel and double-click EditPlus 
in the list box.

EditPlus is provided as shareware.  For information about license,
