Edit++ changed its name to EditPlus on Monday, April 13, 1998.

This file contains information for Shareware Distributors, 
Disk Vendors, BBS SYSOPs and any one who wants to distribute 
the evaluation version of EditPlus, including part of license 
agreement and suggested program descriptions and keywords.

Distribution

This is an extract from the license agreement. The complete 
license agreement can be found at ORDER.TXT file.

  You may copy the evaluation version of this software and 
  documentation as you wish, and give exact copies of the 
  original evaluation version to anyone, and distribute the 
  evaluation version of the software and documentation in its 
  unmodified form via electronic means.  But you should not 
  charge or requesting donations for any such copies however 
  made and from distributing the software and/or documentation 
  with other products without the author's written permission.

EditPlus (previously known as Edit++) is Internet-ready, 
full-featured 32-bit text editor for Windows 95/98 and 
NT 4.0.  It is not only a good replacement for Notepad, 
but also it has much more powerful features for web-page 
authors and programmers.  Features include seamless 
browser window, customizable syntax highlighting, HTML 
Toolbar, user-defined tools and help files, Cliptext 
window, document template, auto-completion, handle 
large files, powerful undo/redo, word-wrap, showing 
line number, drag-n-drop editing, powerful search and 
replace, spell checker, splitter window, keystroke 
recording, customizable keyboard shortcuts and more.

Internet-ready 

  EditPlus provides seamless browser window (requires IE 3 or 
  higher), so you can easily preview HTML files or Java 
  applets without leaving the editor.

Syntax highlighting 

  Customizable syntax highlighting feature is available for 
  HTML, C/C++, Perl and Java.  It can be extended to support 
  other languages too.

HTML Toolbar 

  EditPlus provides HTML Toolbar which allows quick and easy 
  access to most frequently-used HTML tags.

User tools and help files 

  EditPlus can execute user-defined tools and optionally 
  capture the output.  You can also define user help files.

Auto-completion 

  Auto-completion provides quick abbreviation of frequently-
  used phrases.  This feature can save typing and allows 
  more efficient editing.

Cliptext window 

  Cliptext window is collection of frequently-used text 
  clips.  You can customize cliptext library by simple 
  drag-and-drop.

Document template

  Document template is like a stencil for newly-created 
  document.  You can freely add/remove document templates 
  for quick-start of new document.
