A collection of routines mainly in Basic but with some
machine language subroutines that will enable all users, whether novice
or more experienced to get more from the graphics and sound capabilities
of the Atari. These are individual demo programs covering such things as
lightning effects, colour rotation, player missile construction and
movement, horizontal and vertical scrolling and much more. Many of these
routines came from the book Computer Animation Primer which has been out
of print for a number of years and which, in our opinion, was the best
book ever written describing animation effects on the Atari. The disk is
rounded off with a super street scene with passing cars, a walking man
and a background scrolling at a different speed to the foreground.
Excellent stuff and all within reach of the programmer who wants to list
out the routines and study them.
