The Atari 1200 XL is the ancestor of the Atari 600/800 XL. It has the same characteristics, except the size of its ROM (16 Kb instead of 24 Kb) because the basic was supplied on a cardridge.
This computer was never (as I know) distributed in Europe. Notice that Atari made a prototype from this computer called "Atari 1200 XLS", it seems to have identical characteristics except its cardridge port located on the middle of the case.
