Cybermorph

The Galactic War has begun, and the ultimate weapon has been created: robotic technologies that can rebuild themselves. You have been assigned to pilot the only prototype fighter craft in existence: the Cybermorph Transmogriffon, or T-Griffon, a morphing attack craft. The T-Griffon can follow terrain extremely close at high speeds. It can hover and fly backwards by altering its shape. It can withstand extreme damage by regenerating parts. The T-Griffon also features a holographic intelligence agent named Skylar, who gives you crucial battle information.

Recover the pods so resistance fighters will have weapons, equipment and expertise necessary to stop the spread of the Pernitia Empire.

Cybermorph - REVIEW

Originally a 'pack-in' game for the Jaguar, Cybermorph was my first real glimpse of the Jaguar at work.

Loading the game, brings up a series of planets which you select and begin your mission from. Your objective is to rescue pods from the surface in sometimes less than ideal conditions. Once all pods have been rescued, your mission ends, and you're ready for the next one.

Albeit, Cybermorph doesn't provide much excitement, and after a while, the objective itself -- rescuing pods, becomes old. However, the game does showcase some of the Jag's power including incredible shading, and smooth flight animation. The graphics are presented well, and except for the opening screen, there is no music.

Cybermorph is the type of game that can entertain you for hours on end, that is, if you have nothing better to do. It shows some of what the Jag can do, but, the interest-factor dwindles with time. Playability is fair to good, and game control is adequate. This is not the type of game to write home about, but, then again, based on personal experience, it is a good enough game to show others what the Jag can do.
