FLIPOUT - REVIEW

Not one of those games you'll love at first, Flipout is one of those carts that will in time grow on you.

The graphics are brilliant, some of the best for the jag I have seen yet. The animation runs smooth through out, and even though there is no scrolling to the game, you will enjoy what little goodies this game has to offer.

The sounds are mild, no spectacular show here. The music sounds like the cheesy 'puzzle game music' you'd expect- it sounds like Lemmings or worse, but no traditional songs here. All of the soundtrack sounds similar, but you don't seem to notice after a while.

The control is decent, hard to manuever at times, but just like any other puzzle game. You flip tiles into an order of the the stage, just like a rubix cube. There's also more worlds with different objects, like arranging Mt. Rushmore into it original state, and a diner, which though much like the tile flipping thing, is the most fun of all the game.

There are also dangers, which include different species of aliens. They're cute, but they all look alike, and that kinda dissapoints. Whenever they are hit by a tile you hear an embarrassing sound.

The object gets repetitive, but overall Flipout is an above-average cart, especially for those who like puzzlers. It looks alot like a latter day Klax, but is much funner. You may regret buying at it at first, but after a while, a bored Sunday afternoon will turn into time-consuming mission to visit Planet Phrohmaj for awhile.
