Tip of the day
Del McCool shows he is
no small fry
In 1982 I bought my first
computer an Atari 400 with cassette loader. I worked
my way through several 8-bit models and ended up with
the 1040ST in 1986. From 1983 to 1986 I was in an Atari
users group in Fuerth Germany, while in the US Army.
In 1986 to 1988 I was
in Atari users groups in Houston Texas area. In 1986
I ran a Atari BBS in the Houston Texas area, on a 800XL
with a 1200 baud modem. I had two Percom drives for
uploads and downloads. Since it was such a small BBS,
I called it "Atari Small Fry BBS". Today my
web page carries a similar name.
Today I still own a 400,
800, 800XL, 65XE and a 130XE with several types of floppy
drives and original disks. I have a large selection
of Atari 8-bit books and several issues of the Analog
Magazine.
